The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board has released the WB Police Syllabus 2020 for the candidates who appeared for the various posts like Excise Constable and Lady Constable. Their syllabus has been slightly modified and changed over the years.

Eligibility for West Bengal Police Examination
These are the various eligibility criteria you have to follow or must fit into if you want to take the police exam in Wes Bengal:
- Must be a citizen of India.
- The applicant must not be less than 18 (eighteen) years old and must not be more than 27 (twenty-seven) years old as on 01/01/2019. The Upper-age limit shall be relaxed for the SC/ST candidates of West Bengal only by 05 (five) years and OBC candidates of West Bengal only by 03 (three) years.
- The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent having Bengali/ Nepali as a language paper of or above the Madhyamik level.
- The competence of a candidate in the Bengali/Nepali language will be tested at the Preliminary Written Test.
